pennypincher asked:

We have health insurance and drug coverage, but the co-pays and what they don’t cover is ridiculous. We pay over $1200 per year for prescriptions and that is the co-pays. Several of us have allergies and need treatment, but our insurance does not cover allergy treatment. We have dental, but they pay almost nothing for TMJ, so I can’t get treatment.

It wasn’t all that long ago (1940’s) that most employers in this country didn’t provide health insurance for employees, it was considered your responsibility and in fact it still is YOUR responsibility. Where did you folks come up with this idea that Society / Government is somehow obligated to provide you with low cost health insurance? Do you think that you are some how more special or deserving than the vast majority of America? This is America, you don’t have a right to subsidized health insurance or health care. You have the right to get what you can pay for, nothing more nothing less.
Anna P, I see you can’t answer the question.
G. I already pay for those because I and Society benefit from them. I and Society will not benefit from having to pick up the tab for you and other slackers.

Is your insurance coverage declining while premiums are increasing? Is your employer passing rising health care costs on to employees? Do you suspect politicians are helping the insurance industry increase profits? Are you or someone in your family suffering economic hardship because of a catastrophic illness or injury? John asked:

Isn’t it really going to cause insurance to become more expensive?

And the “affordable” buzz word is just an empty promise?
