Yes, they will most likely ALSO exclude any preexisting conditions, switching from one plan to another.

If you getting a policy that has richer benefits (such as a lower deductible) you will be underwritten again for the better policy; so it is possible they’ll put a rider or charge you more for that condition. Each insurance company will possibly do something different so no one here will know for sure. If the policy does not have richer benefits they won’t underwrite you. You need to ask your agent for more information.
