Health Care Reform is something that has been in the works for over 60 years… so this is hardly something that Obama has done on his own. We the people are the ones who are demanding this change and that is the reason he won the election. Why do you think that the Canadians voted for Tommy Douglas as the greatest Canadian ever? I think you are uninformed when it comes to other countries. We are #37 when it comes to health care (google it) I am pretty sure our system is the proven failure.
Interesting that that this post is massivly thumbed down but the post I responded to which also mentions race, was not, just another indicator of how ****** and partisan those on the left really are.
I have a hot news tpip for you, some jerk is screwing us over, his name is Obama and he is in the process of dismantling our great country in order to create his idea of a socialist utopia. which has already been proven a failure in other countries, but he is too stupid and arrogant to grasp that truth.
There are 5 bills… and they are being combined into one. As they make decisions on what is included in the final bill they are informing us step by step.. for example we now know that the public option will be in the final bill and it includes the opt out clause. I have a video in my favorites that is about the bill Obama signed just days ago regarding veterans. You really don’t seem to know what you are talking about which is why you are getting thumbed down.

You really do need to keep up. That fact you miss is that all of these people keep telling us what is in the bill…but they conveniently neglect that fact that THERE IS NO BILL…so the truth is, they have all been lying. Obama is doing something for veterans alright, he is waffling between either increasing TRICARE co pays x8 or making us pay for our own health care altogether. That is help I can do without.

This boils down to common sense. The country was a different place back then and many of the issues we have to deal with now simply did not exist. We live in a country that is morally bankrupt so unfortunately we have to pay greater attention to detail otherwise some jerk will find a way to ***** us over.. which is exactly how we ended up in the position we are in now.
The president has been telling you what the bill must consist of if he is going to sign it.. In other words he has laid his expectations on the table. He is not telling you what is in the bill because as you have stated it is not finished yet. They are going through it part by part. We do know that it includes a public option because they have decided that part already.. there are several more parts in consideration.
You really need to try and keep up sweetie.. as everyone knows the Baucus bill was not the final bill.. They are working on the final bill as we speak. It will contain parts of the Baucus bill as well as the other bills. Obama is doing something on the side for the veterans that has nothing to do with the health care reform bill. You are talking about two different things which is why they don’t jibe.
If they can’t soak us for irresponsible women, they’ll try to soak us for “the sake of the children”. This woman is a snake and her snake hubby and his coterie know nothing but to prevaricate

Republicans have no purpose, no plans, ideas, or reason to exist except to cater to lobbyist. Corporations and outside interests pay lobbyist to pay republicans to provide an environment to make money. So the Republicans tell their constituency if the government provides a HC option America will become communist. Your taxes will double, you will die waiting in line for a doctor, and the uninsured may get help to be insured so that everyone will be covered. Its socialist, communist and Marxist.

What I find extremely interesting is Barry Obay-me standing up saying that Joe Wilsons “You Lie” comment was “not true”, and then Barry telling us “what is in the bill” when the bill as you so astutely cite, “DOESNT EVEN EXIST YET”. It seems that the right wingers aren’t the only ones parroting talking points.
Unless Barry Obey-me is lying out his *** the Baucus bill is DOA. I called Baucus’ office and asked about the effect his bill would have on veterans, the answer was a definate “NONE”, yet “Obey-me” has put forth a plan to intsitute new and increase existing co-pays for TRICARE and VA care. The two statements do not jibe.
Is anyone else even a little bothered by the fact that the Founding Fathers were able to set up the entire system of government for this nation based on FIVE pages of text (The Declaration of Independence and the first Four pages of the Constitution), yet the current crop of highly educated people took ONE THOUSAND SEVENTEEEN pages to deal with the issue of paying for your doctor visits?
You display your ignorance. Those are all required by the military, just as Swine Flu, but that did not stop them from killing or making people seriously ill.
I had all of those, as well as Plague, Influenza A&B, MGC, Rabies,
Smallpox, Tetanus-diphtheria, Typhoid, Yellow fever and others.
But as I said, I retired in 1998. My last round immunizations was 1994 before deployment to Haiti and my last seasonal flu shot was in Bosnia in 1997. I have been immunization free since 1997.
