First ask the hospital if they help you with paying the bill, also if push comes to shove you need to have this done then pay them what you can each month.

so… you don’t believe in state roads, fire departments, schools… military?

shoudn’t we all just “get what we pay for and nothing else”…

can’t afford to pave your road… oh well… no paved roads…

can’t afford to pay the private fire department to put out your home… oh well, home burned down?

it’s all really the same… most Americans decided that there ARE CERTAIN THINGS that would be BEST for America if we socialized them… so that everyone could get them…

I have insurance now, but I think it still needs to be socialized… why?

because we have too much waste in this nation due to sickness… too many sick days… too many sick people…

socialized health care would probably lower these numbers, since everyone could get preventative care… treat things faster, before they become a problem…

Are you living in the US? If so, you can get on Medicaid for pregnant women; you pretty much can’t be turned down (regardless of financial status), and it’ll cover your bills for the pregnancy, as well as postnatal care for your baby (up to a year after the birth). You apply at your local health department.

Check out to see if your child’s school district (or private school) is participating. Click on the “Plans & Pricing” tab, enter the district name or private school name and the state in the search box and review the plans. If you don’t find your child’s school district, call UnitedHealthcare StudentResources at 888-282-5957 to see about adding it.

So what if other people get ahead? LIFE ISN’T FAIR! Prosperous families shouldn’t be punished just because they earn more! They should be punished if they are scamming the public! Other than that, honest success shouldn’t be punished! GET OVER IT!

Byron, You’re asking for an awful lot – low deductible and low price. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it will be difficult, especially since it appears that you have a pre-existing condition. I don’t know what it is, and I don’t suggest you tell us here. Individual policies are generally medically underwritten and you may have a hard time finding coverage.

That being said, I suggest that you find a local, independent insurance agent who can help you find coverage and explain the coverage. They will help you find the coverage that best fits your needs. Don’t fall for the discount programs, they are constantly being investigated and don’t fair well.
